April Design Challenge: Create a Self Mood Board
Since my interests and defining aspects about certain time periods often overlapped, I wished to showcase my moodboard between different age transitions as one looong moodboard but color coded!
+ Yellow: 3-5 (aka my favorite childhood color)
- Born and raised in Fethiye, Turkey (Oludeniz [top] and Karagozler [bottom] are my favorite places)
- My grandparents' house had (still does) a lemon tree by their house: its smell and color still resonate with me
- Pacifier was one of my most exclusive and picky items growing up-- as my mom tells me I only liked one brand Chicco
- Learning how to swim using the iconic orange floats was a stable activity for my sisters and I
- I distinctly also remember my yellow rectangular crib -- coziest place on earth haha
+ Pink: 7-10 (slight change in favorite color to pink)
- During this time I had completed pre-K through 2nd grade in Ozel Ata Fethiye
- My favorite parts of my childhood were definitely the yummy -memorable- Turkish snacks + pastries: such as my mom's delicious poğaças, the school kantin's (cafe) toasts, and Uludağ's gazoz (carbonated) drink
- Also, at this age my sisters and I were obsessed with the Little Pet Shops and my stuffed animal was the bunny - named Ponpon :)
- One of my favorite things to do in Fethiye was to walk by the sahil, admire the ancient tombs in Fethiye's mountains, and walk by my late grandmother's elementary school, Yunus Nadi Ilk Okul
- The toast in the picture below with the side of freshly squeezed pomegranate juice and hot peppers is from one of Fethiye's favorite eating spots -- Iksirci Tezcan
+ Blue: 12-15 (moving to Tampa FL -- again a slight change in favorite color to light blue)
- Moved to Fl at the age of 9 with my family -- known for its beautiful lakes w gators
- Dedicated to education, did the IB program
- Grew a great loveeee for McChickens + buffalo sauce
- Gained a best friend for life when we got our ragdoll cat, Miniş
